Why did Emily pursue a career in graphic design?

I remember at 16 years old, flipping through an issue of Nylon Magazine, looking at my mom & asking her what do I have to do to be able to make magazines for a living, and she told me “You need to go to school to become a graphic designer.”, and the rest as they say, is history.
