Kayla from Killa Cupcakes contacted me back in February 2021 looking for a brand refresh, as well as a full website (coming soon!). I was so excited to take on this project given that Kayla is one of my close friends best friend, and she makes the most beautiful confections I’ve ever seen! Of course, I said yes & we got the ball rolling.
She stated that she was looking for a cotton-candy colour scheme, as well as a hand-written style font worked into her rebrand. Of course, given that her business name is Killa Cupcakes, I went right in on the cupcake idea, but I also wanted to give her an option of something a bit more general since she creates more than just cupcakes — this is where the option of the rolling pin, or another kitchen tool came in. Ultimately Kayla selected the cupcake design, and I was happy to deliver on the cotton-candy theme with pastel pinks, yellow & blue worked into her new logo.
